Drontal Allwormer Tablets for Dogs
Drontal offers a comprehensive solution for worming needs in dogs. These chewable tablets come with the effective combination of Praziquantel, Pyrantel (as Pyrantel embonate), and Febantel, each varying in concentration according to the tablet size.
Available Dosages and Sizes:
- Drontal worming puppy suspension: 1ml treats 1 kg.
- Drontal allwormer tablets for small dogs and puppies: 1 tablet treats 3kg.
- Drontal allwormer for dogs: 1 tablet treats 10kg.
- Drontal allwormer for large dogs: 1 tablet treats 35kg.
Protection against:
- Roundworms, Hookworms, Whipworms, and Tapeworms (including Echinococcus granulosus, Dipylidium caninum, and various Taenia species).
- Helps control the shedding of oocysts of the protozoan Giardia spp in dogs.
Recommended Treatment Frequency:
For Hookworms and Roundworms: Treat dogs and puppies at 2, 4, 8, and 12 weeks of age, then monthly until six months of age. After that, treat every 3 months or as advised by your veterinarian.
For Whipworms: After 3 months of age, treat every 6 to 8 weeks.
For Tapeworms: Treat every 3 months. In areas prone to hydatid tapeworms, treat every 6 weeks or as per veterinary advice. Note: Dogs can get re-infested, so regular treatment is crucial.
Giardia Treatment:
Drontal stands alone as the only Allwormer licensed to combat Giardia sp in dogs - a frequent cause of diarrhea, especially in puppies. To treat, give Drontal for three consecutive days, ensuring the correct dosage as per weight. Consultation with a veterinarian for accurate Giardia diagnosis is vital.
